Get to know us

At Organizing Okies, we believe in the power of community and the strength found in helping one another. As a grassroots organization based in Oklahoma, our mission is to foster a culture of mutual aid, where resources, knowledge, and support are shared for the well-being of all. Whether it’s offering help during times of crisis or working to address ongoing needs in our communities, we are committed to creating a space where everyone can contribute and benefit.

Our mission

To provide mutual aid and educational opportunities that empower Oklahomans to support one another and care for their communities. Through direct action and informational events, we work together to build a stronger, more connected Oklahoma.

Our vision

We envision a future where every Oklahoman has access to the support, resources, and connections they need to thrive. Through mutual aid, education, and community-driven action, we strive to build a more compassionate, resilient, and self-sustaining network of care—one that uplifts individuals and strengthens communities across the state.

Our motto

We all belong—just in different ways and different places.
We stand for kindness, respect, and community.
We focus on solutions, doing what we can, when we can, how we can.
We support each other however and whenever we’re able.
We are not defined by politics—we are united by our shared humanity.

Our goal

To host one statewide and one regional rally each month—creating spaces for learning, resource-sharing, and community-building. Our long-term vision is to develop resident-led support networks and sustainable communities where everyone has access to the resources, care and connections they need.
